A family tradition.
Marcel’s Supermarket was founded in 1947 by Wallace Marcel and has since been passed down through four generations. In 2021, Jeryl Marcel retired, and his son Chad Marcel became the owner and operator.
We began as a small gas station on the corner of Bayou Blue Road and Hwy. 182 or what was once considered Hwy. 90 or The Old Spanish Trail. Over time, our small gas station and meeting place evolved to meet the needs of our community and a full grocery store opened in 1973.
We pride ourselves on being a family-owned business. Marcel’s offers a complete line of groceries, fresh meats, and produce. Marcel’s supermarket is an Associated Grocery member allowing for competitive pricing and weekly sales.
